In 2022, over 16.5 thousand psychologists were registered in the country, whereas in 2013 less than 8.4 thousand mental health specialists were officially registered. In Belgium, for a person to use the title of psychologist, he/she must have the required diplomas and also be registered to the psychologist commission.
