During a survey, approximately 51 percent of Mexican mobile users stated that the main reason why they used emojis in texts and social media posts was because it gave meaning to the message and/or were expressive. Meanwhile, 14.3 percent of respondents said they made the conversation shorter/faster and/or were easy to use.
