According to a survey on sex in Denmark, using a copper IUD was most common among Danes between 45 and 54 years in 2018. In detail, 12 percent of the respondents in this group made use of this contraceptive method that year. In comparison, only three percent of the respondents in the youngest age group had used a copper IUD within the past year.
