The share of Russian respondents who held the view that the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 had more positive consequences for their country amounted to 37 percent, according to results of the survey conducted in 2019. However, the portion of those with the opposite view was only two percent lower. Looking at answers by age category, the participants aged 60 years and older had a rather negative stance than the younger generation.
