As of June 2022, about 21.4 thousand employees worked at the petrochemical industrial complex in Yeosu in South Korea. Despite the older Ulsan petrochemical complex being the largest complex in South Korea in all other regards, including area size, output, and sales, it employs several hundred people less. Having opened in 1979, the Yeosu complex is the middle-sized complex in all other regards of the three existing petrochemical complexes.
