Despite the gradual decrease in import levels over the observed period, the dairy sector was the segment with the largest import volume in the Russian agroindustry, with roughly 6.5 million metric tons imported in 2018. The import trade of meat and meat products experienced over a twofold reduction during the last observed period compared to 2013. Grain imports fell to 400 thousand metric tons by 2018.
