At the end of fiscal year 2023, the profit before taxes of Ashok Leyland was above 21 billion Indian rupees. The company was one of the largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles and bus worldwide. It became the first Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer to get the certification of the latest emission standards, to be implemented in April 2020, for its full range of heavy duty trucks.
