The highest average annual number of car thefts in CEE countries was recorded in Croatia. In 2022, nearly 44 vehicles per 100 thousand inhabitants were stolen in this country. Other countries in Central and Eastern Europe with the highest average number of thefts per 100 thousand inhabitants were Czechia and Romania, respectively.
