Federal support for investment in agroindustry Russia 2019

The federal funding to incentivize investment lending in the Russian agroindustry was expected to decrease gradually over the past years compared to 2017 figures. The provisional funding volume in 2019 was projected to grow relative to the decline in 2018, and it was set to amount to 55.5 billion Russian rubles in that year.

** The clarifies that the government support for investment lending is implemented through providing subsidies from the federal budget to regional and municipal budgets to partially reimburse for investment loans obtained for agribusiness development. The effect of using subsidies for partial reimbursement of interest rate payments under investment loans in 2017 is measured by the amount of debt under subsidized loans. The subsidies are allocated for investment loans issued prior to 31 December 2016 for development of crop farming, animal farming, dairy and beef cattle breeding.
