Actions needed to boost attendance at cultural events during Olympics Japan 2021
According to a survey conducted in February 2021, over 43 percent of respondents in Japan believed that it would attract more Japanese and international visitors if the cultural event is held at easy to access locations.
As a direct impact of COVID-19, the Japanese government announced the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games from July 2020 to July 2021, retaining the name as Tokyo 2020.
