Sustainable and responsible investments refers to an investment approach that integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in the research, analysis and selection process of portfolio management. The environmental component is the main focus for most investors when it comes to sustainable investments. The strategies towards sustainable investments include norms-based screening, negative/exclusionary screening, best-in-class screening, ESG integration, sustainability themed investing, impact investing, and corporate investment and shareholder action.
