Nowadays, diverse specialists give their constant expertise about people's lives. Yet the nature of people's lives is profoundly subjective and its evaluation easily biased. The feeling that experts do not understand them is therefore understandable. According to this Ipsos survey, the feeling is widely shared in 2019, in Belgium.
In Belgium, nearly two-thirds of respondents believed that experts did not understand their lives. 23 percent of them neither agreed nor disagreed with this lack of understanding. One out of four people did not believe in such a statement, yet without rejecting it.
However, 11 percent of respondents disagreed with such a statement. The feeling that experts did not understand their lives was not always shared unanimously.
