Waste is a subject that can raise ecological, economic and solidarity issues. In the context of sustainable development, fighting against good and energy waste is a current challenge. Thus, this chart shows the results of a survey conducted with French people aged 18 and over about waste in 2019.
The survey asked the French whether they were already doing or planning to do any of the listed actions or not. Almost all of the respondents stated that they sorted their waste selectively or they planned to do it. Collecting unsold products from supermarkets or bakeries was not intended for 17 percent of them.
For 71 percent of French people, waste was mainly the stake of the citizens through their actions according to this same survey.
