Wastage is a subject that can raise ecological, economic and solidarity issues. In the context of sustainable development, fighting against goods and energy waste is a current challenge. This chart shows the results of a survey conducted with people in France aged 18 and over about wastage in 2019.
The survey asked the respondents if a product's possibility to be repaired was a criteria taken into consideration for their purchases. The product's reparability interested 94 percent of the respondents, at varying degrees. Up to 27 percent stated that they always took it into account.
A product's ability to last was a concern for 92 percent of French people, according to this same survey.
