Waste is a subject that can raise ecological, economic and solidarity issues. In the context of sustainable development, fighting against the waste of goods and energy waste is a current challenge. This chart shows the results of a survey conducted with French people aged 18 years and over about wastage in 2019.
The survey asked respondents if a product's ability to last was a criteria taken into consideration for their purchases. Product durability interested 99 percent of the respondents, at varying degrees. Up to 47 percent stated that they always took it into account.
The environmental impact of the product components was a concern for 64 percent of French people, according to this same survey.
