Age distribution of Odnoklassniki users in Russia 2021, by gender

The largest shares of male users of the social network Ok.ru, or Odnoklassniki in Russia, was represented by 35 to 44-year-olds and those older than 55. Both age groups occupied 10.1 percent of the total reach in September 2021. The female audience, on the other hand, was represented largely by users aged over 55 years. Ok.ru, originally created as a platform for finding former classmates on the internet, was a social network with the fourth-largest audience in the country as of August 2021.

Odnoklassniki usage in Russia

When asked which networks they used regularly, approximately one half of Russian social media users named Odnoklassniki. That was the fourth most common answer after Vkontakte (or VK), YouTube, and Instagram. Furthermore, most Russian consumers logged in Odnoklassniki from mobile devices. As of December 2020, the number of mobile active users of the platform in Russia was nearly 34 million.

Where do Odnoklassniki users come from?

Odnoklassniki is largely popular in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and several other former Soviet Union republics, as the content on the platform is mostly in the Russian language. Thus, users from Russia comprised the largest share of the audience, at 43 million as of February 2020. Among non-CIS countries, Germany was the leader, with under two million users.
