The number of employees in the non-food, food, beverages and tobacco retail market in Mexico amounted to two million in 2017. A year before, 110 thousand people less were working in the industry. Revenue generated by grocer's, and specialty food, beverages and tobacco retail stores in Mexico was equivalent to 758 billion Mexican pesos in 2016.
