Leading reasons for not directly experiencing art and culture in Japan FY 2022
According to a survey conducted in Japan in January 2023, about 29 percent of the respondents who did not attend any art or culture events during the last year refrained from doing so due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as they either had to stay home, or events they wanted to go to got cancelled. Another approximately 23 percent of respondents stated that they simply had no interest in attending exhibitions and cultural events during that period.
