While 93 percent of Russians were familiar with Halloween as of 2019, according to poll results, only three percent planned to mark it that year. Seven percent of respondents admitted they never heard about this holiday before the survey. One of the reasons why this day was not celebrated in the country was the opinion that Halloween was a holiday of countries whose cultural traditions were different from Russian.
