According to a survey conducted by Ipsos in May 2019 on attitudes towards beauty image, 73 percent of the Chinese female respondents stated that their personal beauty routine was greatly influenced by their friends, much higher than the global average of 48 percent. In general, the Chinese respondents were more likely to report to be influenced by all the external factors in their personal beauty routine than respondents from other countries.
