Similarity of the LR and LREM party programs according to the French 2021, by party
Although La République en Marche (LREM) was originally a party that considered itself outside the traditional right/left divide, for about 60 percent of respondents in France, Emmanuel Macron's party is ideologically close to the right-leaning Les Républicains. However, although this similarity is more perceived by left-wing voters, LREM voters themselves were two-thirds to believe that the party's proposals were close to those put forward by Les Républicains.
