Profits of agribusinesses in Russia were notably fluctuant over the observed period. The maximum record of over three billion U.S. dollars in revenues from animal farming in 2014 was followed by a steady reduction in yearly turnover, measuring at about two billion U.S. dollars in 2018. Conversely, fishing companies expanded their profits since 2014, and in 2018, their revenues were over five times greater than in 2014. A significant fall in crop farming companies' profits in 2017 which was largely stemmed from the fall in prices in that year, showed signs of recovery in 2018 amounting to 1.89 billion Russian rubles.
