Between 2015 and 2018, the popularity of bike-sharing services greatly increased in Italy. Just in Milan, Turin, and Bergamo, the number of subscribers to a station-based bike-sharing service increased fourfold over this period, passing from about 89 thousand to nearly 400 thousand.
