According to a survey from mid-January 2022, nearly three in four people from France planned to watch the Winter Olympics via free-to-air TV. The same trend can be observed among consumers from other European countries. The most popular platform for viewings planning to watch the Winter Olympics was free-to-air TV in Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, whereas 52 percent of respondents from the U.S. said that they intended to watch the sporting event via traditional pay TV services, making this the preferred choice for American viewers.
