As of 2018, 42 percent of households in Mexico with a mini split air conditioning (AC) equipment had a daily usage time between five and nine hours, considering the days in which the AC was used. Only four percent of households with a mini split device and three percent of households with a central or window AC used them for less than two hours per day, on average.
