According to a survey conducted by Ipsos on male beauty in May 2019, about 84 percent of the Indian respondents stated that happiness was the most important attribute that makes a man beautiful. On the other hand, 39 percent of respondents felt that makeup and/or cosmetics were important attributes for a man's beauty. This was more than double of the global average of 16 percent.
Opinion on attributes that are important in making a man beautiful as per Indians as of May 2019
The question asked in the survey was as follows: "How important are each of
these attributes in making a man beautiful?"
Respondents ranked the questions on a scale from 8 to 10, with 10 being the most important attribute.
According to the source, respondents were more urban and educated, and/or with higher incomes than their fellow citizens, The results should be viewed as reflecting the views of a more "connected" population.
