In a survey carried out between June and August of 2018, it was found that over one third of respondents in Guatemala thought that the country's economic situation would remain the same during the following twelve months. Meanwhile, more than 30 percent of the Guatemalans surveyed said they expected the economy to worsen in that same period.
Economic expectations for the next twelve months in Guatemala as of August 2018
The original question posed during the survey was: "¿Y en los próximos doce meses cree Ud. que, en general, la situación económica del país será mucho mejor, un poco mejor, igual, un poco peor, o mucho peor que ahora?"
