Attitudes towards a European Union social welfare system in the Netherlands 2017
As of 2018, attitudes towards a shared European Union social welfare system appear to be divided in the Netherlands. Approximately 50 percent of people surveyed in 2018 indicated that they were opposed or strongly opposed to a European welfare system. Meanwhile the share of respondents who were in favor of a Europe-wide social welfare system was just two percent lower.
