Between 2009 and 2018, attitudes towards cooperation and shared policy between EU member states appeared to slightly shift in the Netherlands. In 2009, just a quarter of people surveyed indicated that they thought there was already too much shared policy, whereas in 2015 this figure rose to 35 percent. Similarly, the share of people who approved of the current level of European cooperation decreased, from 23 percent in 2009 to just below 20 percent in 2018.
