Brazil: automotive industry foreign trade 2010-2022, by flow
In general, Brazil's automotive imports have exceeded their exports throughout the past decade (the only exception was registered in 2017). In 2022, this sector imported vehicles, auto parts, agricultural and construction machinery, and other automotive goods, amounting to more than 27 billion U.S. dollars, whereas exports added up to 19 billion dollars. The country's automotive industry has experienced a post-pandemic revival after a decline in both sectors due to COVID-19.
