U.S. retailers answering to a 2020 poll stated that store fulfillment will get more automated and rely on in-store inventory storage. Aside from these two key aspects, respondents believed the back-of-house processes to be improved over the following months, while 25 percent of respondents indicated micro-fulfillment strategy as a priority in store fulfillment.
