Russia was expected to increase its volume of biomass in the total primary energy supply (TPES) by all three scenarios between 2015 and 2060. The Unfinished Symphony plot, which supposed a world of sustainable economic growth models, expected the volume of TPES from biomass to be the highest compared to other situations, increasing from eight million tons of oil equivalent in 2015 to 98 million tons of oil equivalent in 2060. The slowest rate of growth was forecasted by the Hard Rock option, given inward-looking national security priorities put before global thinking towards sustainability.

** The source defined the scenarios as follows:
"Modern Jazz represents a ‘digitally disruptive’, innovative and globally market-driven world in which gains are increasingly privatized.
Unfinished Symphony is a world in which more ‘intelligent’ and
sustainable economic growth models emerge as the world aspires to a low-carbon and more renewable energy future. Hard Rock explores the consequences of inward-looking national security priorities that
contribute to weaker and unsustainable global economic growth."
Total primary energy supply (TPES) "represents the total amount of energy that is available to meet demand in a country or region in a given period of time" and is calculated by adding together primary energy production and imports and subtracting exports, bunker fuels, and changes in fuel stocks.
