According to all three scenarios identified in the study, the total primary energy supply (TPES) from gas in Russia was at at its highest in 2040, after which it saw a decrease by 2060. The sharpest decline was observed for the Unfinished Symphony case, featured by the world's aspiration towards sustainable energy future, which predicted the TPES from gas to fall down to 276 million tons of oil equivalent by 2060. According to the Modern Jazz scenario, innovative and globally market-driven world would lead to an increase in the volume of gas in TPES in 2060 compared to 2015, reaching approximately 370 million tons of oil equivalent.

** The source defined the scenarios as follows:
"Modern Jazz represents a ‘digitally disruptive’, innovative and globally market-driven world in which gains are increasingly privatized.
Unfinished Symphony is a world in which more ‘intelligent’ and
sustainable economic growth models emerge as the world aspires to a low-carbon and more renewable energy future. Hard Rock explores the consequences of inward-looking national security priorities that
contribute to weaker and unsustainable global economic growth."
Total primary energy supply (TPES) "represents the total amount of energy that is available to meet demand in a country or region in a given period of time" and is calculated by adding together primary energy production and imports and subtracting exports, bunker fuels, and changes in fuel stocks.
