Share of French people who visited an exhibition or a museum 2018, by occupation

Do the French visit more museums and exhibitions depending on their socio-professional category? According to this survey, socio-professional category had an impact on the frequency of visits to these cultural sites in 2018.

Thus, three quarters of French people in managerial positions or in superior intellectual profession had visited a museum or a temporary exhibition in 2018. Among the intermediate professions, one in two French people had visited such places. The lowest share of visitors is found among workers.

In 2018, 61 percent of French people did not visit museums or temporary exhibitions .
