Short-term sales like Black Friday or Cyber Monday were the most popular sales events in Russia according to an opinion poll conducted in June 2020, with over one third of respondents having made a purchase during those sales with a discount over the past six months. New Year's sales were only slightly less popular among the consumers. In general, 40 percent of Russians admitted to plan their purchases according to sales periods.
