In 2018, it was found that 91.4 percent of audiobook revenue in the United States came from digital format consumption, a figure which has been growing for the past four years. In the same time period, the share of revenue attributed to audiobooks on CDs dropped dramatically from 29 percent in 2014 to just 7.8 percent in 2018.
