When asked how much they spent on furniture and home furnishings in 2018, approximately 52.3 percent of Italian couples with children said that they spent less money compared to how much they spent in the previous years. On the contrary, a significant increase in the expenditure was registered among couple without children, as 20.4 percent of them spent more on furniture and home furnishings than in 2017.
