When asked how much they spent on furniture and home furnishings in 2018, approximately 54 percent of Italians between 18 and 24 years of age and 52.2 percent aged 65 years or older said that they spent less money compared to how much they spent in the previous years. On the contrary, a significant increase in the expenditure was registered among people between 25 and 34 years of age. In act, 20.4 percent of them spent more on furniture and home furnishings.
