As of 2019, 5G services were expected to launch within two to three years in Italy. Roughly half of the respondents pointed to the greater connection speed as one of the reasons why they were willing to pay more for 5G access than what they were currently paying. Similarly, 46 percent of respondents stated that they were willing to pay more to have access to the new services enabled by 5G.
