In 2019, some 96.5 percent of new cat and kitten owners purchased any dry cat food formula, and 54.3 purchased any wet/moist cat food formula in the United States. Furthermore, 6.2 and 3.9 percent purchased any kitten formulated dry cat food and wet/moist cat food, respectively.
