Reasons for choosing private funds in Sweden 2018, by gender

In 2018, Swedes tended to choose a private fund based on a recommendation from a councilor or a broker. In detail, 51 percent of the female respondents relied on experts, while 41 percent of the male respondents did the same. In contrast, 38 percent of the men relied to on their own research when choosing a private fund, opposed to 28 percent of the women.
