According to a survey in Malaysia conducted in December 2018, 57 percent of male respondents and 50 percent of female respondents admitted that while their diets were not as healthy as it could be, they were satisfied that it was healthy enough. Malaysia has one of the highest rates of obesity in Asia, and has recently introduced a sugar tax to combat obesity.
