In 2018, more than 5.7 thousand men, as well as nearly 1.2 thousand women were newly diagnosed with HIV in Chile. This figure has been showing an increasing trend since 2010, when the number of new HIV cases among men and women in Chile amounted to 2,416 and 440, respectively.
