During the first three quarters of the construction period, housing in Russia was fully financed from the funds in escrow accounts as of 2018. From the fourth quarter onwards, the share of funding from market sources was also implemented. By the sixth quarter, housing construction was largely sponsored by this source.

* Escrow is a financial instrument where an asset or escrow money is held by a third entity on behalf of two other parties who are involved in completing the transaction.
For real estate transactions, the buyer deposits the payment for the property in an escrow account and the seller, confident that the funds are deposited, can proceed with the house inspections. The deposit is transferred to the seller once all the conditions for sale are met.
