In 2018, Islamic banks in Indonesia invested around 8.16 trillion Indonesian rupiah in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supplies. Indonesia has attracted a significant private sector investment in infrastructures and ranks 21st among 41 countries according to the Infrastructure Investment Index established by ARCADIS (2016). This index calculates the appeal of infrastructure investments.
