Reasons to slow down economic growth in the Netherlands 2019
As of August 2019, the environmental impact of economic growth appeared to be the main reason why people in the Netherlands felt that economic growth should slow down. 60 percent of people surveyed in the Netherlands in 2019 indicated that the they considered growth to be too much of a burden for the planet and the environment, while a further 12 percent of respondents thought growth in the domestic economy would not be fairly distributed anyway.
