Close to 30 percent of the working population in the Netherlands went through some form of job transition in the last year. Of those who experienced a change in employment, the share of employees who changed employers was slightly higher than the share of those who changed position but remained with their current employer. Roughly 15 percent of respondents surveyed indicated that they found a new employer in the last year, while the share of those who experienced no change in employment circumstances was just over 70 percent.
