Consumer adoption of fintech companies and products has grown rapidly in the United Kingdom (UK) between 2015 and 2019. As of 2019, the UK has a higher adoption rate compared to the global average of 64 percent. One reason for the excelled adoption of fintech products, especially between 2017 and 2019 is that globally, more incumbent banks and financial service companies have begun to offer fintech products.
Compared to other European countries, the UK had higher than average fintech adoption rates.
