All surveyed managers of Russian information technology companies indicated that their enterprises tested or used big data analysis and predictive analytics as of January 2019. Another innovation commonly used by this industry was artificial intelligence (AI), with 80 percent of IT businesses employing it in their work.

* In total, over 100 largest Russian companies from key economic sectors, including finance, telecommunications, metal industry, energy, transport as well as retail. According to the source, six percent of respondents came from the IT industry.
The survey respondents were companies' top management, managers responsible for digital transformation as well as managers of functional blocs within companies where some or other digital technologies are being tested or already used.
