All surveyed managers of Russian telecommunications companies indicated that their enterprises employed big data analysis and predictive analytics, robotization, and Internet of Things (IoT) as of January 2019. Three quarters of businesses from this industry tested or used artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbots in their work activities.

* In total, over 100 largest Russian companies from key economic sectors, including finance, telecommunications, metal industry, energy, transport as well as retail. According to the source, six percent of respondents came from the telecommunications industry.

The survey respondents were companies' top management, managers responsible for digital transformation as well as managers of functional blocs within companies where some or other digital technologies are being tested or already used.
